The Sheriff’s Office is committed to ensure the public that official misconduct will not be tolerated and that all the programs being run by the Sheriff’s Office are efficient. That is the mission of the Office of Professional Review.
The Office of Professional Review is a group of highly trained criminal investigators, inspectors and auditors that work within the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. The Office of Professional Review is comprised of two Branches. Those Branches are the Investigations Branch and the Integrity and Compliance Branch.
The criminal investigators of the Investigations Branch conduct criminal and administrative investigations on complaints or allegations made against Sheriff’s Office employees and fraud investigations on those doing business with the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigators, inspectors and auditors of the Integrity and Compliance Branch conduct inspections and reviews of Sheriff’s Office programs and contracts. Those inspections and reviews ensure that the programs are being run efficiently and comply with Sheriff’s Office policy and procedures.
