Home > Press Page

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 — The mother of two young children was arrested yesterday after they were found home alone, according to the office of Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.

Donna Campbell, 36, of the 12800 block of South Mill Road, unincorporated Palos Park, left her children, ages 2 years and 8 months, home while she went shopping at a nearby mall.  Campbell’s husband came home from work early and discovered his two children home alone.  After attempting  to contact her numerous times, via her cell phone, over a two hour period, he called police to report her missing.  Campbell returned shortly after officers arrived at her home and was arrested and charged with two counts of child endangerment.

Campbell is scheduled to appear on September 17 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
