HOMICIDE SUSPECT ARRESTED
Tuesday, April 15, 2014 — – A 25-year-old man wanted in connection with a homicide investigation was apprehended by the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and the Cook County Sheriff’s Central Warrant Unit, Sheriff Thomas J. Dart announced today.
Michael E. Brock, of Harvey, was taken into custody Friday night after he was found hiding in the trunk of a Chevrolet Tahoe located in the 500 block of Torrence Avenue in Calumet City. An investigation into Brock’s whereabouts led investigators to that address.
Brock has a $5 million homicide warrant in connection with a Harvey Police case and a no-bond attempted homicide warrant from Dolton. Those warrants were issued in 2013. He also has a warrant for a violation of probation from Cook County.
After investigators took Brock into custody, he was turned over to the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force – East Division for further investigation.
Sheriff Dart reminds the public that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty by the government in a court of law.
