Home > Press Page

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 — Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart has issued a neighborhood alert in the LaGrange Highlands area, after a man attempted to abduct a 4-year-old girl on Tuesday.

The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Sunset Street in unincorporated LaGrange. The girl said a man in a light blue or light color SUV attempted to lure her into his vehicle by offering her candy. Her 6-year-old brother then came outside, saw him, and the man drove away.

The man is described as being white, clean shaven, with short brown or black hair.

Anyone who may have seen this man in the area that day should contact the Cook County Sheriff’s investigations section at 708-865-4896.
