Thursday, July 16, 2009 — Bond was set today for two men charged with sexual assault of a child, according to the Office of Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart.

On Wednesday, Jared James, 22, of the 3700 block of Salem Walk in Glenview, was arrested and charged with predatory criminal sexual assault.  An investigation by sheriff’s police detectives found James inappropriately touched and had sex on several occasions with a 5-year old child known or related to him.  James attended bond court today and his bond was set at $250,000.

In an unrelated incident, Keith Gray, 43, of the 1000 block of Park Avenue in Ford Heights, was also arrested Wednesday and charged with criminal sexual abuse.  An investigation by sheriff’s police detectives found Gray inappropriately touched an 11-year old child, over her clothes.  Gray’s bond was set at $50,000.
